Hello, everyone!!
I’m Togo, and some of you may remember me because I was working at Chapter One. It feels wonderful to reconnect with this community again. I hope you’re all enjoying your time there just as much as when I was a part of it.
This time, we’ll be hosting a special picture book giveaway event for children. The name of the picture book is “Poupelle of Chimney Town”(Story & Directed by Akihiro Nishino who is a Japanese creator). And surprisingly, 35 other creators worked in a division of labor to create this picture book.
“Poupell of Chimney Town” follows the journey of a young boy who wants to see the stars for the first time and a man who is made of garbage in a town full of chimneys and black smoke. It’s a tale that inspires children to pursue their dreams no matter how other people tease you. (You can check the story and the pictures from the Official Website.)
We’re planning to hold this event for three days (September 1st(Sun) – 3rd(Tue)) . The giveaway is open to all visitors at Chapter One but each child is eligible to receive one picture book at no cost. And a total of 50 picture books will be available on a first-reserve, first-served basis.
Please make sure you need to fill out the reservation form linked bottom of this page and come to the coffee shop to receive the picture book. And don’t forget to order the best coffee and fresh food there!
I’m exited to bring these books all the way from Japan to Australia to pass them to children at Chapter One, as an action of gratitude to Chapter One and its customers. That would be awesome to see the children smile after taking the picture book for everyone.
